Another GW4 DTE Community of Practice Event is planned for late spring 2017. Watch this space for further details coming very soon.
“Getting the most from your centre: Focus on Recruitment and Induction”
19 April 2016, 10.00-4.30pm, Reception Room, Wills Memorial Building, University of Bristol
This workshop focused on the advanced project management skills required for the smooth running of a DTE, based on ‘real life’ issues around recruitment of students. It also addressed how to develop the narrative of a DTE with particular attention to marketing and induction.
“Getting the most from your centre: Problem solving through Action Learning”
16 May 2016, 10.00-4.30, Hepple Lecture Theatre, School of Geographical Sciences, University of Bristol
This workshop focused on collaborative small-group problem-solving based on ‘Action Learning’, an interactive and practical way of working with real issues. We are currently working on a GW4 Action Learning Set Online Resource to assist GW4 DTE staff in conducting their own Action Learning Groups.
