National Centre for the Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement of Animals in research (NC3Rs)

National Centre for the Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement of Animals in research (NC3Rs)

The NC3Rs is a government-backed organisation that aims to replace, reduce, and refine the use of animals in research (the 3Rs).

It does this by working with scientists and life sciences organisations to develop new technologies and approaches. And it covers universities, the pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer products industries, other research funders, and regulatory authorities.

With NC3Rs, we jointly fund Dr Jessica Eddy as the Regional Programme Manager for Cardiff and South West England. She supports the universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter in applying the 3Rs. This includes giving expert advice and sharing best practice.
