GW4 AI and Data Science: Climate, Health, Migration and Society – 2025 event series

GW4 AI and Data Science: Climate, Health, Migration and Society – 2025 event series

Tackling grand challenges, such as climate, health and social change, is a collective endeavour and will only be achieved through pooling our knowledge and resources. Research taking place in GW4 universities has the potential to create a seismic difference at this critical moment, with future success being underpinned by the rigorous exploration and application of data science and AI to the most pressing issues of our age.

Join us through this new series as we examine how climate, sustainability, health, migration and culture are transforming our society and how AI and data science solutions are enabling us to adapt to the effects of these changes.

Through the series, leaders in their respective fields will share their knowledge, learn from one another and identify fresh opportunities to work together to expand on the pioneering ways technology is and can be further employed in this quest. These events are designed to foster collaboration and networking across institutions, highlighting critical and innovative AI and data science research in the South West region.

The Alan Turing Liaison Managers from the GW4 universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter are delighted to launch this new initiative. Each university will take turns hosting an event, featuring dynamic academic speakers from across institutions.

Open to post graduates, academics and researchers from across the region, plus the wider community and members of the public, so don’t miss the opportunity to get involved in this new collaboration.
