GW4 Open Research Week 2026 Keynote: The joint contributions of open science and research assessment reform to research culture (Online)

Date and time: Monday 20th April 13.00-13.45

Format: Microsoft Teams (Online)

Presenters: Bregt Saenen and James Morris, Science Europe.

Description: Join us for our GW4 Open Research Week keynote session, delivered by Bregt Saenen and James Morris from Science Europe. This presentation covers the results of a three-year Science Europe consultation with its public research funding and performing member organisations, focused on the intersection of open science and research assessment reform. Through a collaborative process, the project co-developed strategic recommendations on how these agendas can mutually reinforce one another to foster positive research cultures and strengthen evidence-based research and innovation policymaking. Drawing on insights from the member survey published in October 2024, a three-part workshop series held in early 2025, and the scoping review released in October 2025, the session will highlight key findings.

Registration: Please register your attendance via Microsoft Teams.
