Management Knowledge Transfer Partnerships Conference

Project Summary

A Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (mKTP) is a dynamic partnership between a business and a team of academic experts. The focus of mKTP projects is specifically on increasing effectiveness and improving results through better management practices. mKTPs are being used by a wide range of businesses in all sectors of the economy and right across the UK. Many universities have taken this opportunity to build impact case studies, enhance engagement with local small businesses, and create research incomes. The community will use the Development Award to organise a one-day workshop for GW4 academics which will facilitate interest and collaboration opportunities among parties in mKTP projects. The workshop will include external partners such as regional mKTP advisors, local businesses and business representation groups with mKTP experience, and non-GW4 academics with mKTP experience. In promoting collaboration opportunities across GW4 universities and with the local business community, the project will facilitate impactful research with connections into the real business world and highlight opportunities for funding.
