Documents & Data Management – Practical guidance for RTPs

This X-CITED development opportunity is facilitated by CaSDaR, who are dedicated to enhancing the management, recognition, and reuse of research data across all academic disciplines.

This interactive session is aimed at GW4 Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) who handle or manage any form of data or documentation, from large research datasets to smaller project-specific data — particularly those with limited knowledge of data policy or processes.

During the session, attendees will:

• Gain knowledge of data stewardship in the research life cycle and FAIR data principles
• Contextualise these principles through practical workshops using workplace examples
• Reflect on how their current data and document management processes can be improved

After this session, attendees will:

• Understand key principles and the importance of data stewardship
• Be able to apply their new skills and knowledge to ensure best practice within their workflows
• Understand the relevant policies for managing data in their workplace
