Today’s digital interactions are mostly screen-based and rely on visual and text content. This often results in excessive screen time, cognitive overload, and limited physical expression or creativity. These limited experiences reduce opportunities for us to engage with the world and each other with our senses and bodies. Additionally, our data is often hidden from view and difficult to understand or make sense of. This project led by Dr Danielle House (University of Bristol), aims to explore how digital experiences can become collective, connective, multi-sensory and embodied—where data is not only seen or read, but also touched, moved with, and physically felt. The project rethinks how people of all ages can collectively engage with digital information in more meaningful, active, and interactive ways.
