Our Steering Groups and Networks

The GW4 Alliance has several steering groups and networks consisting of colleagues and postgraduate researchers across our institutions.

GW4 AMR Alliance

GW4 AMR Alliance is a One Health AMR research consortium at the GW4 universities to tackle the global threat of antimicrobial resistance. The Steering Group draws together key members from the GW4 One Health AMR research community and the GW4 Directorate to drive the AMR Alliance’s work programme forward. View the steering group members on the GW4 AMR website.

GW4 Sustainable Net Zero Ambassadors

Academic Ambassadors from each GW4 university have been identified to help initially lead and build on our Sustainable Net Zero vision. However, achieving and sustaining this transformational project will require the involvement and expertise of many others, from all disciplines, so we encourage all those with an interest to get in touch. View our Net Zero Ambassadors on the Sustainable Net Zero webpage.

Talent and Skills Steering Group (TSSG)

The Talent and Skills Steering Group enables a strategic and joined-up approach to postgraduate and early career researcher development across the region, ensuring that the diverse portfolio of activities delivered through the Talent and Skills Programme complements and adds value to existing institutional provision, as well as responds to developments in the national policy landscape. GW4WARD Steering Group (GSG)

The GW4WARD Steering Group enables a strategic and joined-up approach to delivering on the commitments of our institutions to our technical staff, raising an awareness of the role they play in research and innovation as articulated through the Technician Commitment. GW4 PGR Policy Forum

Recognising the long-standing value of collaborating in the Doctoral Training space, the GW4 PGR Policy Forum provides an informal channel for our universities to meet to discuss PGR strategy, share best practice, and when necessary, work in collaboration to coordinate PGR activities across GW4.
