X-CITED Kick-off Celebration

X-CITED Kick-off Celebration

To mark the beginning of the X-disciplinary Challenges from Industry for Technical Expert Development (X-CITED) programme, we invite you to join us in Bristol on Monday, 16 September 2024, to shape the future of our activities.

Time: 09:30 - 15:30

Location: Delta Hotels by Marriot, Bristol City Centre (BS1 3AD)

X-CITED is an EPSRC-funded project that will develop the skills of Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) across the four GW4 universities, supporting them to work with industrial partners in addressing real-world challenges.

The X-CITED Kick-Off Celebration will bring together RTPs working across engineering- and physical sciences-related specialisms, and from a range of career backgrounds. This large and innovative programme is being delivered by RTPs for RTPs, and we need your input at all stages to ensure that we deliver something which is of real benefit to all the stakeholders. At the kick-off celebration we will outline our plans and start to form Communities of Practice through which we will gather your input to shape our RTP development activities. Please come along, get involved and give us your thoughts and bright ideas.

On the day you’ll:

  • attend a mixture of briefing sessions and group breakouts to inform and discuss the programme's aims and activities;
  • learn how you will contribute to and benefit from participating in the programme;
  • meet other RTPs and start discussing the training opportunities you’d like to take advantage of over the next three years;
  • be a critical voice to help shape this unique training platform to suit your needs.
