This inaugural GW4 Crucible Alumni Network Event will take place on Thursday, 24 June (14:00-16:30) via Zoom and will be an interactive event hosted by Kate Tapper (Crucible Programme Director), and Gary Reed.
If you are a GW4 Cruciblee you should have received an email with a link to register for this event. If you have not been sent this, please email talentandskills@gw4.ac.uk.
By the end of this session attendees will have:
• challenged your preconceptions about leadership
• ideas for drawing strength from this network
• energy from buzzy conversation with interesting people
• a technique that helps you take action when you get stuck
As GW4 Cruciblees you know the power of inclusivity and collaboration. You know what it feels like to be seen and heard. You have seen the powerful work that arises when we are. Despite systemic challenges, academia is changing. Our hope for a more inclusive future lies with you, our future leaders, and your capacity to do things differently.
In this session we will look at what that means for you as a network. We will challenge the concept of leadership as a lonely business and make it easier to reach out to others to get perspective, broaden our thinking, challenge our assumptions, spark ideas and ask for help.
Connect with old friends, make new ones, have some big conversations and take away new approaches for taking action and leading our future, together. There will be an online social space to continue conversations after the event.
