2nd Networking Event: inFer GW4 network “Fertility: In Vitro, In Silico, In Clinico”
The GW4 inFER Network invites all IVF experts and other researchers interested in fertility research to register to a one-day event on IVF research. This is the 2nd meeting of the GW4 network Fertility: In Vitro, in Silico, In Clinico (inFer) and will bring together:
- Mathematical modellers, data analysis and AI researchers
- Experimentalists
- Clinicians
- Industrialists
- Policymakers
The event will be held on 22nd February 2024, 10am-5pm, Engineers' House, The Promenade, Clifton Down, Bristol BS8 3NB
The Network's aim is to improve the success rates of IVF through interdisciplinary research and academia-clinic collaborations.
At the Network's successful launch event at Cardiff University in September, researchers from maths and other disciplines worked together with clinics to identify key IVF challenges. The group also searched for people with the skills to tackle these challenges.
Since then, the Network have worked collaboratively with our Advisory Board, comprising leading experts in the IVF field, to refine these challenges and identify new ones.
This second networking event will be even more interactive. It will include a “speed dating” session where everyone can meet other participants and share their expertise as well as a co-creation workshop to identify next steps and discuss research funding opportunities. This event is in-person due to its interactive nature, but arrangements can be made for those only able to join online - please contact the organisers if you would like to join online.
- The network have some funds for accommodation and travel. If you would like to be considered for reimbursement, please indicate this on the registration form. If the demand exceeds our funds, we will prioritise early-career researchers.
