Change doesn’t happen alone
Collaboration is at the heart of GW4 and working with others is the basis of everything we do.
GW4 draws together the research excellence of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter Universities, with wider collaborations that connect government, industry, civil society, charities and communities. We recognise the imperative to respond urgently and comprehensively to the global challenges facing society today, by working with new and existing partnerships to produce, translate and embed research and innovation into policy, society and business.
We work with over 400 external partners including global businesses, research organisations, government bodies, and third sector organisations to develop new research, train future academic and industry leaders and develop innovative solutions, which recognise and build on our region’s strengths.
Members of the GW4 Alliance can benefit from a wide range of support, from connecting with academics across our partner institutions, to accessing funding and guidance to develop their research ideas. We also help signpost third-party businesses and organisations to academics with relevant expertise for collaborative opportunities.
