Isambard Day 2025 (ID25)

Isambard Day 2025 (ID25) is a two-day event celebrating the remarkable achievements of the Isambard supercomputers and exploring the opportunities ahead. ID25 will take place on 11th and 12th March, starting at 10:00am, at The Bristol Hotel, Prince St, Bristol BS1 4QF.

What to Expect

Day 1:
A celebration of the achievements of the Isambard supercomputers and a look ahead to 2025 as Isambard-AI and Isambard 3 transition to full service. The day will feature high-level perspectives on supercomputing and case studies showcasing its impact, concluding with a forward look at technical plans for the year ahead.

Day 2:
A range of interactive parallel sessions covering diverse topics, from technical deep dives and optimisation techniques to user support strategies and opportunities for early career researchers.

Call for Contributions

Participants at all career stages are encouraged to share their expertise and experiences on topics including:

  • Case studies using the Isambard supercomputers, past and present
  • Role of the Principal Investigator, including writing applications and compliance
  • Running AI and HPC applications at the scale of 1000’s of compute nodes
  • Setting up applications and software stacks for both traditional and AI supercomputing
  • Performance tuning, optimisation and benchmarking of AI and traditional supercomputer applications
  • Supporting users, including documentation, helpdesks, and Communities of Practice

Abstracts should be no longer than half a page and may be considered for our dedicated Early Career session.

Deadline for abstract submissions from GW4 researchers has been extended to Monday 24th February.

Registration is open to all, although spaces are limited and registrations are expected from across the UK.
