GW4 Connect is a suite of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) programmes which will bring together researchers from diverse backgrounds to form networks of support for marginalised and underrepresented communities in higher education.
What is GW4 Connect?
Developed by GW4 Alliance, it will bring together researchers from the universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter to meet, share, support and learn from each other, building partnerships that you can take forward beyond the programme.
In 2025, GW4 Connect will be offering two new pilot programmes:
- A 10-month facilitated peer support programme for 16 neurodivergent early career researchers, and
- An 11-month facilitated peer support programme for 20 postgraduate researchers from the Global Majority (coming Summer 2025).
Participants will be offered the opportunity to work with expert facilitators and coaches, alongside their peers, to create a safe space for honest, free conversations outside of institutional structures.
These programmes build on the successes and lessons learned from the GW4 Connect programmes run since 2023. More information about these programmes can be found in the ‘Past Programmes’ section.
